WrapAround is a strength-based planning process whereby families choose and build a team of community support to help them reach their identified goals.  The team is  comprised of family, friends, and professionals as selected by the family.

WrapAround Service:

  • Is based on families' voice and choice to meet their needs, recognizing that all famlies are unique
  • Believes that families know what is best for them
  • Believes there are strengths and gifts in the community that can help families
  • Ensures thoughtful participation of informal and community supports
  • Asks other involved agencies to work creatively and sometimes differently
  • Is voluntary and flexible, with team meetings occuring monthly, and the planning process lasting approximately 12 months.

The WrapAround Facilitator:

  • Is someone who will meet with you to learn about your family's strengths, and what is important to you in planning for your future.
  • Will help you build your own team of family, friends, and professionals and will follow up with your plan on an ongoing basis.

The Wraparound team includes an FNMI Facilitator who can provide services that include cultural support, traditional teachings and medicines to First Nations, Inuit or Métis families.

All referrals must come through the Children’s Aid Society of Simcoe County, with the exception of First Nations, Inuit and Métis families, who may contact Catulpa directly.

There is no fee for WrapAround services.
