WrapAround
The WrapAround Process is an innovative approach of reaching out to families to help them find solutions and have a better life. A WrapAround Facilitator works with the family to help them to identify their strengths, needs and preferences for how/when/why and with whom service and supports are provided.
An individual Plan of Action is developed by a Facilitator – led team of family, friends and professionals who care about the family. The team brainstorms strategies that are strength based and address the priorities of the family, connecting the family to the most helpful formal and informal services and supports.
The Wraparound team includes an Aboriginal Facilitator who can provide services that include cultural support, traditional teachings and medicines to First Nations - Aboriginal, Inuit or Métis families.
With the exception of First Native, Inuit and Métis families, all referrals must come through the Children’s Aid Society of Simcoe County
