Family Resource Services (Children)
Offices located in Alliston, Midland, Collingwood, and Orillia.
Goal
The goal of the Family Resource Service is to work in partnership with families who have a school aged child with a developmental disability and/or a physical disability to identify their strengths and needs and access necessary and available resources.
Services
Planning with families to?

Access necessary and available community resources, including financial for those who are eligible

Coordinate services / case management, e.g. referrals to other services, e.g. respite

Encourage natural support system

Assist with transition (e.g. to and from school)

Provide information/support with school related issues
Consultation with families?

- Resource Library / Information Services
- Community Education (ie. speaking engagements, consultation to other programs or service providers)
- Community development
- Visits can be in the family home
Referrals
